Schlager icon Heino is set to perform for the first time with his own show at Ballermann in Mallorca after much consideration. His manager confirmed a report from the „Bild“ newspaper, stating, „He has a desire for a party and is in top form,“ regarding the 86-year-old folk music star. Six performances are scheduled at the „Bierkönig,“ with the first show taking place on May 31.
Organizers on the popular party strip, frequented mainly by Germans, have made numerous attempts to secure the artist’s participation. Now, according to his manager Helmut Werner, the time is right for Heino’s debut at Ballermann. However, this will not be Heino’s first appearance at the venue, as he once substituted for Roy Black in the 1980s.
Heino’s Active Career
The 86-year-old, who resides in Kitzbühel, Austria, is currently enjoying a successful period in his career. He will kick off his Germany tour on May 10 in Coswig, performing two-hour shows at each location. His new single „Ein Gläschen am Morgen“ has gained significant traction, accumulating 13 million views across various social media platforms.
Despite its success, the song and its accompanying video have faced criticism. The tune has been accused of glorifying alcohol consumption, with lyrics suggesting that a small drink in the morning can alleviate worries. Additionally, the video features erotic model Micaela Schäfer, which has drawn some accusations of being sexist.
